Throwback Mood ~ #AMplaylists

Hi friends!

So for today’s blog post, I kind of thought of doing a little playlist update. Music is a major part in my life. Whether it be for writing, exercising, or other human activities. So in order to keep from rambling on about how amazing music is, let’s get started.

I’ve been in a Throwback Mood

Netflix Binge List: Summer ’16

Hello Everyone

For today’s post, I was thinking of something short and sweet. Because Monday’s are not all that enjoyable, and I want to give you more time to dread the rest of the days of the week until the weekend (because I’m suchhhhh a nice person haha).

My Netflix Addiction

018

Photo created by me

I am a big Netflix watcher, and I have been for several years. I’ve re-watched many shows, and discovered new ones. Or really watched shows that have been out for years. I don’t really believe there is any problem with being addicted to Netflix either(said every addict ever). It introduces you to many different shows and movies that you may not have access to otherwise. I was that person who watched The Walking Dead after years of it being out, and now it is one of my favorite shows.

There is only one “but” I have with Netflix. It’s a fantastic tool, but not all my shows are on there. A big one being a show called Smallville. I don’t know if many of you have ever watched Smallville before, but it is my all time favorite show. I have re-watched it again and again(all 10 seasons). But, my issue is that it is so hard to find now. Netflix won’t add it on. Which I believe to be issues with the network that owns Smallville. But still, it’s very disappointing that some shows and movies aren’t on there or won’t ever be added on there. But, overall I still love Netflix deeply.

My Binge List for this Summer

One thing I have learned is to not balance too many shows at one time. I already have plenty of shows that I watch on TV, so my Netflix shows/movies list needs to be manageable. Because if it is too much, my life will just be me in bed, surrounded by my blankets and my cat, watching Netflix all day everyday.

My list for this Summer is only three shows because Two of them I haven’t watched at all, and I have to catch up. My first is Orange Is The New Black. I have watched it, but I’m still watching the new season. Then I have Once Upon A Time and Hawaii Five-O. Both of which I have not watched before. So that’s why my list is so small.

~~~~~
That’s it for my quick little Monday post. My question of the day for you all:
What is on your Netflix binge list?
Scribble Saturday: Nature Vibes
Hello Everyone!
I am a big fan of the outdoors. I grew up camping and hiking constantly. Many of my memories are of the beauty of nature. So naturally, as a young adult, I still find beauty in all things nature. A couple days ago, I spent my morning/afternoon on a walk in a local park near me.
The Beauty of Nature
When I started off, I was not really having it. It was hot, and I just wanted to get my exercise and go home. It wasn’t until I passed some trees that called my name. In the picture(at the bottom of the post), I took it, not really expecting it to come out as interesting as it looked in real life. But, I was pleasantly surprised to see it’s beauty coming out on the screen. No editing was necessary to achieve the same way it looked in real life. Breathtaking. Of my phone that is. All the pictures I took that day were all from the camera on my Samsung Galaxy 6.
My Love for Photography
While I love nature, I also look taking pictures of nature. Capturing something so beautiful in a photograph is always a wonderful feeling. I have felt that feeling all my life. I walked around with a camera in my hands from a very young age. Feeling the Nature Vibes from a very young age. While my pictures are no where near professional, they are enough to make me happy. Which is enough for me.
Well I guess that is it for this Scribble Saturday. Just a quick little scribble, and I hope you all enjoyed it. My question of the day for you all:
Are you a nature person or a city person?
We Got Pulled Over… On a Boat
Hello Everyone
Being almost 20 years old this August, I’ve had 19 fourth of July’s to celebrate. Obviously a few of them I don’t really remember, but a majority of them I do. Now, I’m not saying every memory is the best, but I just know that this time of year has almost always been happy memory wise. I thought about sharing a couple of those memories with you.
The Furbaby Adoption
One of my older memories is near the fourth of July 2004. The adoption of my black lab Patch. He’s 12 years old now, but that day we adopted him (actually on July 3rd) was one of the best memories. My family and I were headed to Walmart to pick up some supplies for the 4th. Getting close to the front we noticed a truck parked with a litter of black lab puppies in the back. Which of course my sister(my twin) and I were all for going to see them. My parents obliged, and we walked over. Not really having plans to adopt any of the dogs. However, it was indeed my dad who caught the eyes of who would soon be a big part in our family, our dog Patch. It was in that moment that the decision was made that we were indeed getting a dog that day. Now, there is a lot more to be said about my dog, but that is going to have to be a separate post on it’s own. That’s just one of the earlier memories around the fourth that makes me happy.
The Boat Police
Another memory happened sometime before my sophomore year of high school I believe. Which was about six years ago. Long story short, my family really loves camping. I grew up camping every Summer. Sometimes multiple times during the Summer. We almost always camped at this one campground, and it is a staple to my family. We’d often go with my dad’s friend’s family, and also my dad’s best friend’s family. This time we were with my dad’s best friend’s family, who is really considered actual family at this point. Anyway, we were on the boat the night of the fourth. Having gone around all day, and we were really ready for some fireworks. It was before the fireworks started that we heard sirens of another boat behind us. My “uncle” slowed the boat down, and found it was some boat police. I don’t really know if they have an official name or not, but I mean boat police just shows how my language skills are.
Okay, so continuing on, they apparently were pulling us over because my uncle had these blue lights on the back of his boat by the engine. So if you looked back on a night ride, it looked like the water behind the blue was this bright blue. Which we thought was cool, and had been enjoying it the past few days before that. Luckily the boat police was cool about it, and let us just take the lights off. But, it just seemed funny that of course the time we decide to go out on the lake on a holiday, we get pulled over. Even if it was for something so silly. It kind of just shows how our family works I guess haha.
My fourth of July memories have been some great one’s. I might do another post this month with more if I can think of good enough one’s to post. My question of the day for you all:
What is your all time favorite fourth of July memory?
July Journal: Welcome Everyone
Hello Everyone!
I was thinking about what I wanted to do for my blog this July, and thought of doing a little series. Just to see if I could really commit to doing something for an entire month. So I came up with July Journal.
My Goal
011
Photo: Created by me
My main goal to accomplish during this project is to post to my blog at least 16 times this month. So almost every other day. I might skip a couple days at a time, and do blog posts on back-to-back days. It just depends on how I’m feeling for a period of the month, or if I am working a lot.
My minor goal is to at least post on the days I normally do during the month. So at least have a blog post out on Monday’s, Thursday’s, and Saturday’s all throughout the month. With the bonus posts on other days.
My hopes for this project, is to get me focused. Lately, I have found myself getting distracted, and my writing is paying the price. I want to get back into the swing of writing regularly, and I am hoping this will do the trick.
~~~~~

So that’s all you really need to know for my idea for July Journal. My question of the day for you all:

What do you want to see in this blogging series?
