Taking a Page: Thoughts Before Bed

Hi Friends!7

Here is my 12th TAP(Taking A Page) of the year, and it’s just me writing down some thoughts on what I think about before I go to sleep.

~~~~~
I feel like my bedtime routine has been pretty solid for several years now. I brush my teeth, then get into bed to watch a show or two on Netflix. When it comes to actually trying to sleep I always find myself making up stories as I go to sleep. I don’t really talk about this that often, but I actually write fanfiction stories. I write mostly for some anime that I grew up watching. This has been going on since about 2010, and I still do this to this day.
I feel like what ends up helping me fall asleep is filling my mind with creativity before falling asleep. Some people like to not think about anything, but I find when I do that I have room to start over thinking. It’s kind of like a distraction from my overthinking side that I get from having anxiety. I create these stories in my head(that sometimes branch off from my own fanfiction stories). It not only keeps me distracted, but I feel like it gets me to sleep easier.
The only downside I’ve ever experienced from this method is when I actually get a solid story idea. A story idea that I would like to pursue further than just the thoughts in my mind. This usually ends up with me staying up half the night to actually write down my idea, and all the other ideas that come from it. But I’ve actually wrote a couple good fanfictions from using this method, so I feel like it’s not that terrible. I feel like if I didn’t have this method, going to sleep would be a lot more difficult for me.
How do you like to go to sleep? What method do you use? Do you like to think of certain things? Or think of nothing at all?
DIY: Fact Manual for Your Novel
Hi friends!6
So for today’s blog post I was thinking about sharing a video I made for a class with you all. I did this a few weeks ago with my Living With Anxiety video, and I really enjoyed sharing it.
I came up with the idea for the video when looking at my own personal fact manual for a story I’m currently writing. I use it regularly to keep up with the small details that I might forget as the story goes on. Since it was for a class, I didn’t do everything I really wanted to do for the video, but I feel like the message of how to set one up was sent across well. If you all like this video, I might do a blog post soon on a more in depth fact manual for you all.
Taking A Page: I Took a Week Off
Hi Friends!5
Here is my 11th TAP(Taking A Page) of the year, and I’m kind of just touching base on where I was last week, and why there wasn’t blog posts last Thursday, and this past Monday.
~~~~~

Last week I kind of took an unexpected week off. I really didn’t have any plans to take any weeks off until Summer, but last week just kind of happened. I had a thirty minute presentation to prepare for, then I also had an annotated bibliography, an essay, and a video project to work on. The week after this upcoming one is Spring Break for me, and I think all my professors are trying to torture me :/

Taking A Page: My Best and Worst College Professors

Hi Friends!3

Here is my 10th TAP(Taking A Page) of the year, and it is all about my best and worst college professors.

~~~~~
Throughout most people’s college careers, they come across the amazing professor that they will remember for years. They will also probably come across a professor that they wouldn’t ever take again even if they’re life depended on it. I feel like I’ve come across both those professors in one semester. What are the odds that I find both in one semester? And just how can I make that decision when I still have a year or a year and a half left of college?
Living With Anxiety
Hi Friends!2
This weeks post is inspired by a project I had to do for one of my classes over the past few weeks. The project’s objective was to create a video that tells a story about you. It doesn’t necessarily have to be directly about you, but it has to be your take on something. This video I created gives you an insight into my life with anxiety, but I also believe it gives information to those who don’t have anxiety or don’t quite understand what it’s like for someone who does have it. I know it’s not the best video out there, but I am proud of what I came up with. I hope you all enjoy it 🙂
Taking A Page: College Midterm Hell
Hi Friends!1
Here is my 9th TAP(Taking A Page) of the year, and it is all about my stressful college midterms and really annoying professors. I hope you all enjoy.
~~~~~

Well I think it’s finally hitting that midpoint in the semester. It is no longer an occasional assignment every once in a while or a quiz here and there. It’s midterm after midterm, essay after essay, and random quizzes just falling from the sky like the downpours of rain we have been having the past week or so.
